The greatest wish of every parent is for their children to have a better life than they had themselves. We began to offer our After School Program in the winter of 2021 because we saw a need in the North Fairmount community for safe, supportive care for children during the crucial hours after school that often overlap with the hours their parents and guardians need to work.

Our After School Program takes place five days a week when Cincinnati Public Schools are in session from 2:30 until 6:00 PM at the Carll Street Family Center, located at 1769 Carll Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45225. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, clean, welcoming environment for the children.

In our After-School program, we provide each child with a journal to express themselves. When the children arrive, they have the opportunity to respond to prompts or write about their thoughts and feelings. We ensure the children receive snacks and dinner to keep them well-fed. We make physical activity enjoyable by organizing exercises, gymnastics, basketball, dance classes, and free play throughout the week.

The program also incorporates arts and crafts, allowing us to decorate our center creatively and celebrate holidays and birthdays. We prioritize assisting children with their homework and engaging them in conversation about their day to build trust and open communication. To make learning fun, we organize trivia games and implement educational projects on various topics like ancient Egypt. We encourage creativity among the children and provide transportation for those who require it.
